Easy Shmeezy Tax

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 23, 2026

1. Overview

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Easy Shmeezy Tax website and the tax-preparation services we offer (the "Service"). By starting a return, uploading documents, or e-signing anything through Easy Shmeezy Tax, you agree to these Terms.

Easy Shmeezy Tax prepares and electronically files U.S. federal and state W-2 personal income tax returns, and offers eligible filers a 0% interest refund advance.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not start or submit a return. You can always contact us with questions before you file.

2. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident to use the Service. You confirm that the information you provide is true, complete, and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

You may only use the Service for your own personal tax return, or a return you are legally authorized to prepare for someone else. You are responsible for any activity that takes place under your account.

3. What we prepare

Easy Shmeezy Tax prepares W-2 personal federal and state income tax returns. We handle one job, or multiple W-2 jobs, with standard deductions.

We do not prepare business returns, partnership or corporate returns, trust or estate returns, or returns involving complex investment activity, rental property, or foreign income. If your situation is outside what we support, we will let you know, and you should work with a preparer who handles those filings.

Our estimate of your refund is based on the documents and answers you provide. It is an estimate, not a guarantee. The IRS makes the final determination.

4. The refund advance

Eligible filers may receive a refund advance of up to 50% of their estimated federal refund from Easy Shmeezy Tax. The advance is 0% interest: there are no finance charges or interest added on top of the advance amount.

The advance is an advance against your own verified federal refund — it is not a loan against your paycheck. Approval, advance amount, and timing are subject to eligibility and verification of your tax return by Easy Shmeezy Tax.

If your final refund is smaller than estimated, your advance is adjusted so that you never owe more than the actual refund the IRS sends. You are not personally billed for a shortfall caused by a lower refund.

5. Fees

Easy Shmeezy Tax charges a single, flat preparation fee of $450 (U.S. dollars) for your federal and, when applicable, state tax return. The $450 flat fee is the only preparation fee we charge. It is collected automatically from your federal refund once the IRS funds it — you never pay anything upfront, and if there is no refund, there is no fee.

The refund advance itself is 0% interest. We do not add finance charges, interest, or hidden fees on top of the $450 flat fee. The $450 is disclosed here, in our Terms of Service, and is authorized when you e-sign your return.

If your refund is less than the $450 fee plus any amount already advanced to you, your advance and fee are reduced to what your actual refund can cover. You will never owe more than the refund the IRS sends, and you will not be personally billed for the difference.

6. E-signature and electronic filing

When you check "I agree" during the signing step, you are providing your electronic consent and signature. You authorize Easy Shmeezy Tax to prepare and electronically transmit your tax return to the IRS and your state tax authority using the information you provided.

Your electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature. You agree to review your return for accuracy before signing.

You also authorize Easy Shmeezy Tax to fund any approved advance to you and to deduct the advance repayment and the $450 flat fee from your federal refund once it is funded.

7. Payment and refund handling

The $450 flat fee and any advance repayment are deducted automatically from your federal refund when the IRS sends it. You do not need to send a separate payment under normal circumstances.

If no refund is issued, there is no fee and no advance to repay. If a refund is issued but is smaller than expected, deductions are reduced as described in the Fees section.

If an amount is owed to you after deductions, the remaining balance is sent to you by Easy Shmeezy Tax. Estimated timing depends on IRS processing times.

8. Your documents and information

You are responsible for submitting complete and accurate documents, including every W-2 from every job you held. Leaving out a W-2 can cause the IRS to flag your return and delay your refund.

If you discover an error after filing, contact us promptly so we can advise on correction options. Intentional misrepresentation may make you liable for penalties imposed by the IRS.

9. Your privacy and your data

We use bank-level encryption for uploads and transactions, and we are an authorized IRS e-file provider. We do not sell your personal information.

You can upload photos or PDFs of your documents. We read the figures to speed up your return. You retain the right to review every number before you sign.

More detail about how we collect, use, and protect your information is available in our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitations of the Service

Easy Shmeezy Tax is not a law firm or a certified public accounting firm, and nothing here creates an attorney-client or CPA-client relationship. Our guidance is general information, not legal or investment advice.

We do not guarantee a specific refund amount or a specific IRS processing date. Outcomes depend on your individual situation and on the IRS.

Refund advances are offered subject to Easy Shmeezy Tax's approval; advance eligibility is never guaranteed.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Easy Shmeezy Tax is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the tax return in question.

You agree to indemnify Easy Shmeezy Tax against claims arising from inaccurate information or documents you provide.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When material changes occur, we will post the updated Terms here and update the "last updated" date below.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service before starting a new return.
